Contract Overview

The Alliant 3 GWAC is the latest contract vehicle from the GSA Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) designed to procure a wide range of integrated IT solutions.  Building on the success of Alliant 2, Alliant 3 is highly anticipated within the industry and provides an even more robust platform for businesses aiming to grow their federal IT services over the next decade.

While Alliant 2 focused on providing comprehensive IT solutions with a strong emphasis on innovation, Alliant 3 expands this scope by incorporating more emerging technologies and enhanced support for national security systems. This evolution ensures that businesses engaged in federal procurement can leverage cutting-edge IT solutions to meet the diverse needs of various federal agencies.

Note that the final RFP for Alliant 3 differs from the draft RFP in several ways including:

  • Points were decreased from 94,700 to 89,950.
  • A series of task orders under an IDIQ or BPA can serve as a relevant experience project example.
  • Revised teaming requirements and organizational risk assessment details.
  • Pricing volume requirements are now included.

Because of the scoring criteria and requirements, competition will be fierce! Of the remaining Alliant 2 incumbents, most of them will likely win Alliant 3. This means there may only be 30-40 awards available for new firms.

Alliant 3 a powerful vehicle for businesses to secure federal contracts and deliver innovative IT services. The contract offers substantial opportunities for both large and small businesses to engage in federal procurement, supporting various federal agencies with advanced IT solutions.
